Phillip Stalley is currently an associate professor in the Political Science Department at DePaul University, teaching courses on international relations, Asian Politics, Chinese politics and environmental politics. He received an MA in East Asian Studies and Ph.D. in International Relations from George Washington University. His research focuses on Chinese environmental politics. He is the author of Foreign Firms, Investment, and Environmental Regulation in the People's Republic of China (Stanford University Press, 2010). His current project focuses on China’s approach to international environmental institutions. Professor Stalley also served as a visiting scholar in the environmental economics department at Fudan University in Shanghai. He is a member of the Public Intellectuals Program of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations.
