Xu Xin, a 2005-2007 PHCWP fellow at Princeton, was invited to deliver a speech on “The Beijing Olympics and China’s Contested National Identity,” at the 41st Otago Foreign Policy School under the theme, “Sport and Foreign Policy in a Globalizing World,” at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand on 23-26 June 2006.

The White House and the U.S. State Department have selected Thomas Christensen, Princeton professor of politics and international affairs, as deputy assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific affairs with responsibility for China, Taiwan and Mongolia.
